2014 - 2017 Ram Promaster 3.0L Diesel | Handheld Device

The Ram ProMaster (also badged as Ram ProMaster) offered the 3.0L diesel engine (an inline-4 turbodiesel from Iveco/Fiat, often branded as EcoDiesel) in the US market from the 2014 model year (when the ProMaster debuted) through the 2017 model year in most sources, though availability tapered off earlier in practice for some configurations.

Important note before removing your vehicles computer:

Note of any maintenance or engine lights on the dash. You should have no errors before removing the ECM. If you have a DEF/DPF countdown issues prior to tuning, those should be cleared with a hand tool (snap on, Autel, etc). Since those are transmitted by the SCR module, it will typically stay in the cluster unless cleared before hand. Be sure your codes are all cleared before you remove the ECM.

1- Clear all codes. 2- Turn the key to the off position. 3- Remove the negative cable from the battery. 4- Remove ECM.
