Tuning is delivered through the EFI Live AutoCal platform, and detailed instructions are included to guide you through downloading your files and flashing the vehicle.

ECM / TCM Unlock Information

ECM:

• No separate ECM unlock service is required for this package.
• 2018+ trucks require a bypass cable to be installed before the vehicle can be flashed.
• The bypass cable installation is a simple process, and instructions are provided.

TCM:

• Custom transmission tuning is available only for vehicles equipped with the 68RFE transmission.
• EFI Live licensing is required for transmission tuning.
• Transmission tuning is not available for the Aisin transmission with this package.

Switchable Tuning

CSP4 Switchable Tuning allows you to select between four predetermined power levels without stopping to reflash the truck.

CSP4 Power Levels

• 30HP – Heavy Tow
• 80HP – Light Tow, 12,000 lbs. and under
• 150HP
• 180HP

How to Change Power Levels

CSP4 tuning allows you to change between the four available power levels using:

• The EFI Live AutoCal Device, or
• A Cummins CSP4/CSP5 OBD-II Pass-Through Switch

For the easiest tune selection, we highly recommend using the physical CSP4/CSP5 pass-through switch.

The switch plugs directly into the vehicle's OBD-II port and allows you to change power levels by rotating the dial to the desired position while the truck is running or driving.

There is no need to stop the truck and wait for the ECM to be reflashed when changing between CSP4 power levels.

The pass-through switch also includes an additional OBD-II port, allowing another compatible device, such as a monitor, to remain connected.

Transmission Tuning

Transmission tuning is available only for the 68RFE transmission.

Benefits of Transmission Tuning

• Revised shift strategy to reduce sluggish shifting
• Earlier downshifts with less throttle input
• Revised torque management

Custom transmission tuning can improve shift behavior, towing performance, and how the transmission responds to increased engine power.

How to Identify Your Transmission

• 68RFE: The transmission pan has a rounded, turtle-shell appearance. The transmission dipstick is located on the passenger side of the engine bay.
• Aisin: The transmission pan is relatively flat and typically has Aisin marked on the side. The transmission dipstick is located on the driver side of the engine bay.

Requirements

IMPORTANT:

• 2018+ trucks require a bypass cable to be installed before flashing.
• All vehicle and transmission tuning requires an EFI Live AutoCal Device + appropriate licensing, unless you already own a compatible AutoCal or FlashScan device and the required licensing.
• A Windows-based computer is required to load and flash tuning into the vehicle and/or transmission.
• Detailed instructions are provided with every tune and walk you through transferring the tune file to your AutoCal and flashing the vehicle.
• Custom 68RFE transmission tuning requires the appropriate additional EFI Live licensing.
• For this platform, we are currently only accepting aftermarket tuning modifications for an aftermarket turbo.

How Does This Work?

1. Order your device, tuning package, licensing, bypass cable, and required parts.
2. Complete the Tune Order Form with your truck specifications and modifications.
3. We ship your device within 48 business hours after receiving all required vehicle information.
4. Install the required bypass cable before attempting to read or flash the truck.
5. Connect your EFI Live device and send us the required stock readout. Instructions are provided.
6. Our calibrators write your custom tune files.
7. Your files are sent within 24–48 business hours after we receive all required information.
8. Transfer the provided tune file to your AutoCal and flash the truck using the included instructions.

What You'll Need

For a 2019–2021 RAM 6.7L Cummins full kit, you’ll need:

• Device: EFI Live AutoCal or compatible FlashScan device
• EFI Live Licensing
• 2018+ RAM Bypass Cable
• Tune Package
• Applicable hardware for your specific vehicle and configuration

If you already own a compatible AutoCal or FlashScan device, you may purchase the EFI Live License Only option.

If you do not already have an EFI Live flashing device, select the AutoCal Device + EFI Live License option.

The AutoCal is used to transfer and flash your custom tune files into the truck.

After purchase, tunes are typically completed within 24–48 business hours once we have received your Tune Order Form, required stock readout files, and all necessary vehicle information.

Devices typically ship within 48 business hours after we have received all required vehicle information, the completed Tune Order Form, and any required files.

Instructions are provided based on your specific package.

EFI Live Authentication Code & Serial Number

If you already own an EFI Live device and are purchasing licensing, you may need your device serial number and authentication code.
